Yesterday I got a bottle of my first Magnetic Nail Polish. I am so happy! It’s Golden Rose Magnetic Nail Lacquer number 5. It’s kind of pinkish purple colour. It came in set with small magnet which you use to create stripes on your nails.
All you need to do is paint your nails and when the polish is still wet hold the magnet over a nail at a short distance for couple of seconds.
This is how my nails look after painting.
In the beginning I thought that I will go crazy with this polish. I was trying to apply too thick layer so everything looked just bad. I also touched wet nail surface with a magnet couple of times, so there was a lot of repainting:)
Then I discovered that I am trying too hard. Key to the success is just paint the nail with not so thick and not so thin one layer and hoover the magnet. Actually the less precise I was the better pattern appeared:)
You can turn magnet and get a different direction of the stripes. This gives more possibilities for getting fun designs.
I think that this polish is really nice. Easy to apply. It dryes fast. It also shines nicely so you don’t need to put any top coats. I have it on my nails for a whole day and it doesn’t chip at all.
I am really happy with it!
As I said this is my first magnetic nail polish, but I remember that there was similar polish from Loreal, just with a difference, that you could make splash patterns instead of stripes. Did you ever tried it?
I will think about some designs using this polish as a base 🙂
Have a nice day everybody!
In the last post about doughnut pendant there was one of my nails in the photo. Now it’s time to show them all 🙂
I was a little bit bored with the square shape of my nails so I made them more almond this time. I am very happy with this shape 🙂
And here they are.
It’s gel nails with some shiny dazzlings. Everything is in one of my favourite colour – violet.
And here is the thumb.
I hope you like them 🙂
Do you like doughnuts? I love them! Especially when they are with some nice sweet colourful sprinkles on the top 🙂
I was thinking that it would be nice to have mini doughnut always with me so I made one. The cake and icing is made from self hardening clay and sprinkle from Fimo. I was browsing the internet to learn how to make clay doughnuts and I must say it’s not so difficult.
On this photo I wanted to show how big is the cookie. I could just put a coin or match next to it, but this is a nail blog so I put my thumb there 🙂
I will definitely make more mini doughnuts with different icing and sprinkles 🙂
To make these toe nails I used purple gel and nail stickers with pink and white flowers.
Some of those stickers are not smooth but have texture similar to suede. I was curious how this will look embedded into gel but actually you must look very close to see some difference (and with toe nails that’s pretty difficult).
This is again extremely easy nail design. I used here only one trick. Some of the stickers had little shiny rhinestones glued on. If this rhinestones would be covered with gel they would loose shininess. To avoid that I gently detached stones from the stickers and when the nails were ready I painted them with top coat and glued the rhinestones back on the top in the place where they shoud be on the stickers. I don’t know if this will work with all stickers but with mine it went smooth.
I am usually wearing square nails but this time I made them oval. This is a very simple and fast nail design using purple gel all over the nail and nail stickers with pink flowers.
I love blue, violet and purple so now I don’t need to worry that my nails will not fit to my clothes 🙂
