Blue nails with pink and green dots

Today I have for you very simple and fast nail design.
Recently I bought three nail polishes which are very good for spring and summer. I wanted to see how these colours look together.

Maybelline Color Show

So here are the nails

Blue Nail Design

Base colour is Maybelline Cool Blue. Green dots are made with Maybelline Pow Green, pink ones with Maybelline Pink Boom. For the dots I used a dotting tool.

Have a nice weekend!

Maybelline – Color Show – Pow Green

Today I have for you swatches of my newly bought nail polish – MaybellineColor ShowPow Green 754.
When I saw the selection of the nail polishes from Color Show line I wanted to pick other colours than that, but because I don’t have so much greens in my collection I chose this one.

Maybelline Color Show - Pow Green 754

In the bottle in artificial light in the shop this polish looked like light pastel green but a bit neonish. I thought that it will be good colour for summertime on the beach but not for everyday wear. I was wrong.

Maybelline Color Show Pow Green

On the nails it loses its neonish part and turns rather into some kind of light dirty green. It is much more suitable for everyday wear than I thought. I am not a big fan of this colour because it doesn’t go good with my skin tone but if you look good in green this polish can be actually a nice choice.

One coat of Pow Green on the nails is definitely not enough. Two are ok if you are very careful with painting, but in my opinion it is not so easy to work with it. Three coats are giving a good colour saturation and coverage without any smudges.

Green nail polish

It is not expensive nail polish so I think I will buy one or two more colours from this collection. If the price would be higher I would skip it.

Green french gel nails

This time I am posting a photos of a green french gel nails. I wanted something really simple and looking happy.

For making this nails I used coloured light green french tips and nail stickers with flowers. I really like this design. Simple and reminding me of spring πŸ™‚

Only one thing I don’t like is that I was to lazy and used green french tips instead of green gel to make nail endings. By glueing tips to the very short nails I made them looking shorter than they actually are. You can see it on this picture of the thumb.

When you are making french nails you should try to make nail bed optically longer, so you want to put smile line as near the free edge of a nail as possible. When you are making artificial french nails or if you are painting french endings on a natural long nails you can also move smile line beyond free edge and hide the real line with not transparent nail polish, gel or acryl. Good thing is also to make smile line a little bit deeper than the natural one especially when your nails are wide.

Classics Metallic Nail Lacquer with orange rhinestones

Just before Christmas my friend gave me a new bottle of nail polish.Β It’s called Classics Metallic Nail Lacquer number 8. Never heard of them before.

I usually don’t write here about nail polishes, but this one looks very pretty in the bottle. It’s green metallic which in the bottle changes colour to emerald and blue. You can see on the photo how beautiful it looks throu the glass!

On the nails in most of the lights it looses this blue colour. Still, it’s very pretty metallic green!

Sometimes when the light is not so bright you can see a hint of emerald.

If you read my previous posts you probably know that I am a big fan of nail art, so I didn’t want to leave my nails just covered with nail polish. I wanted something extra on them. Just becouse it’s festiv time of the year I added some orange rhinestones to complete the mani.

Unfortunately this rhinestones are very poor quality, so they are not equal. If you look close you can see how uneven they are.Β I attached them using regular transparent nail polish. When I am adding rhinestones on the top of gel nails I use nail glue, but with normal mani this feels like a little bit overdoing it. I never add any top coat over the rhinestones, they loose shinines.

I am very happy with my latest nail polish manicures on my short short nails, but probably just before New Year’s Eve I will not resist and I will make some gel extenstions πŸ™‚
