Hello Kitty Nails

Do you like Hello Kitty? I probably don’t know anybody who would answer NO to this question. I absolutely love this character. For me Hello Kitty is the symbol of cuteness.
So I made Hello Kitty nails.

I used acrylic paint. When I am painting some small details on nails I prefer to use this paint not the regular nail polish. Nail polish is drying much faster, and when something goes wrong with the painting it’s difficult to remake it. With acrylic paint you can remove part of pattern if you do it quick, before paint dries.

As a base I used pink nail polish. I think red would fit here also. I used pink, black, white and yellow paint (yellow for Hello Kitty nose, but maybe it’s impossible to see it on the photos). When paint was dry I applied top coat to get shiny and smooth nail surface.

Blue toe nails

I haven’t done any gel toe nails since St Valentine’s Day design. It was pretty long time ago and I started to be bored with just nail polish on my toe nails.

I made new one and here they are.

I used dark blue gel. On the edges of a toe nails are embedded pink tiny dazzlings. I wanted to add a little bit of shininess and the look of french nails.
This dazzlings reflect the light from time to time when feet are exposed to the sunlight.

Unfortunately my friend said that this pink colour doesn’t go good with blue, so next time I will embed into this gel some dark blue dazzlings. They will not be visible like the pink one but will give some light reflections from time to time.

On the big toe nails I added stickers with white flowers to make whole design more interesting.

I always promise myself that next toe nail desing will be more detailed, more hand made, but all this bending to reach my toe nails are so tiring that I often just go for some easy solutions like stickers or stamps.
Do you have the same problem with decorating your toe nails?

Vampire nails

Today I started to make new glue on nails. It was going to be something sweet with acrylic stars. They turned to be something completely different becouse I was not in mood to make anything cute. I just finished one of the True Blood novels and now I started to read Anne Rice’s books. The atmosphere of a vampires stories a little bit took me in so I made vampire nails – dark but romantic in the same time.

On a black nail polish I added silver glitter. Vampires don’t like real silver, but they like glam so I guess silver coloured glitter is ok for them 😉
On the nail surface I added acrylic roses. I think roses goes good with vampires. To make roses I used soft 3D molds. Hand made roses would be better (ofcourse), but nowadays even vampires accept some industrial innovations.

Most vampires love to party, so their nails must look good in the artificial dimmed lights.

Now I am going back to my books 🙂

Green french gel nails

This time I am posting a photos of a green french gel nails. I wanted something really simple and looking happy.

For making this nails I used coloured light green french tips and nail stickers with flowers. I really like this design. Simple and reminding me of spring 🙂

Only one thing I don’t like is that I was to lazy and used green french tips instead of green gel to make nail endings. By glueing tips to the very short nails I made them looking shorter than they actually are. You can see it on this picture of the thumb.

When you are making french nails you should try to make nail bed optically longer, so you want to put smile line as near the free edge of a nail as possible. When you are making artificial french nails or if you are painting french endings on a natural long nails you can also move smile line beyond free edge and hide the real line with not transparent nail polish, gel or acryl. Good thing is also to make smile line a little bit deeper than the natural one especially when your nails are wide.

Christmas greetings with acrylic flowers :)

Do you already have your Christmas nail designs on your nails? I think I will not have enough time to make my own.
The good thing is that my previous mani is still in good shape so I will not change it.
Anyway, I was thinking that it would be nice to post Christmas Greetings and becouse it’s a nail blog I will also attach some nails picures 🙂
So here they are!

I made this glue on nails long time ago and they were lying in my nail stash. To make them I used baby pink nail polish as a base, then I sculptured pink acrylic flowers and jammed little shiny rhinestones in the middle of the flowers. As everybody knows rhinestones are good so I added some big ones to make this nails a little bit kawaii style 🙂
So what do you think? Are they kawaii?

I wish you very Merry Christmas full of joy, happiness and peace. May Santa be good to you and bring you a lot of  lovely presents!
