It’s been ages since I was wearing gel toe nails so I made new one. I wanted something shiny (as usual) so I made gel toe nails with glitter gradation.
To make them I used 5 different shades of pink glitter to build the gradient, which I must say could be better. Here and there are embedded pink bullion beads in 3 shades of pink and the pink transparent dazzlings. I must look very close to see that there are different things inside (which is difficult thing to do with your own toe nails), but main purpose of all this things is that they should just shine.
I added some pink rhinestones on the top of the nails but I was not happy with this look. Good that they were attached on the little drop of top coat only, so removing them was easy. If they would be attached on nail glue I would leave them there.
Thank you for coming!
Today I want to show you my new Valentines Day Nail Design.
Recently I saw a lot of Caviar Nails so I bought some bullion beads for nail art.
Some of them are opaque other are transparent. I was really happy with them until I noticed that some colours of the beads are bleeding out after contact with my top coat. It happened when I was adding them onto the nails I made last time. I wanted to upgrade my old design and then the disaster came…
I put purple bullion beads straight onto the wet top coat. When I started to shape the heart in the middle I noticed that purple bullion beads are bleeding out. I was so unhappy because there was no good way to fix this.
Well, the ruined nails are of course not the end of the world. It is a good reason to make new ones 🙂 So I made this
For the base and the hearts I used acrylic paint. These paint has some tiny lumps in it so the nail surface is a bit uneven. I actually like it because it gives the rustic finish (it reminds me of oil paintings on canvas). Than I painted the nails with top coat and put bullion beads (not bleeding ones) on the edges of the hearts.
To keep bullion beads in place I dropped small amount of polish inside the heart area. This sealed the edges of the bullion beads heart. I was very careful not to pour the polish outside the hearts or over the bullion beads and also to secure every little bead. Then the drying time was sooo long, so I was happy that I made this design on glue on nails not on my natural 🙂
The one more thing which I don’t like about the bullion beads I bought is that the beads are not equal size. I guess if you are making caviar nails fully covered with bullion beads the difference in beads size is not so important (maybe it is?), but if I make lines with beads I want them equal othervise lines look wavy and not so nice. You can see it on the heart made on index finger nail.
Do you use bullion beads for the nail art? I know that it takes forever to work with them, but I think that the end effect is so lovely!
Thank you for coming!
I was thinking about my last pictures of skulls on nails and I must admit that they need this Hello Kitty bows to look more friendly. I wanted to make red bows, but I didn’t have red acryl so I used pink instead. Now skulls look much more happy 🙂 My initial plan was add also some glitter or rhinestones, but after adding bows I decided that this is all they need 🙂
So how do you like the more cute version ?
Looks like my 3D moulds crazyness continues 🙂 Since I tried them with acryl instead of gel I like them so much. I wanted to use mould with skulls, but I didn’t want to make nails looking too serious. My first thought was (as always) to put a lot of colourful rhinestones on the nails, but I changed my mind and I used holographic black nail polish as a base instead. It kept the dark feeling but also added some light and colours to the design. Then I added white acrylic skulls, sealed everything with top coat and put metal bullions imitating glowing eyes.
Very easy and fast to make design. Next time I will probably not resist and I will add some glitter and maybe Hello Kitty bows in the top of the skulls:)
I nearly always cover my toe nails with gel, but this time I decided to make some design on my natural nails.
I painted them with blue nail polish as a base. I was searching for colour like this for ages and finally I found one from ‘no name’ brand. I love this colour.I could wear it without any nail accessories, which is weird becouse I am a big fan of glitter and another shiny things:)
On the top of nails I added acrylic flowers. I made them using 3D moulds, so it is a little bit of cheating 🙂 Bare flowers were cute, but I had this feeling that something is missing, so I added here and there some silver metal bullions just to add some shininess.
I hope you like them:)
