Maybelline – Color Show – Pow Green

Hello,
Today I have for you swatches of my newly bought nail polish – MaybellineColor ShowPow Green 754.
When I saw the selection of the nail polishes from Color Show line I wanted to pick other colours than that, but because I don’t have so much greens in my collection I chose this one.

Maybelline Color Show - Pow Green 754

In the bottle in artificial light in the shop this polish looked like light pastel green but a bit neonish. I thought that it will be good colour for summertime on the beach but not for everyday wear. I was wrong.

Maybelline Color Show Pow Green

On the nails it loses its neonish part and turns rather into some kind of light dirty green. It is much more suitable for everyday wear than I thought. I am not a big fan of this colour because it doesn’t go good with my skin tone but if you look good in green this polish can be actually a nice choice.

One coat of Pow Green on the nails is definitely not enough. Two are ok if you are very careful with painting, but in my opinion it is not so easy to work with it. Three coats are giving a good colour saturation and coverage without any smudges.

Green nail polish

It is not expensive nail polish so I think I will buy one or two more colours from this collection. If the price would be higher I would skip it.

Violet swirled french tip nails

Hello!
Today I have for you some swirled french tip nails.

The base colour is NYC In A New York Color Minute Quick Dry Nailpolish – Prince Street. It’s a really beautiful dark violet/purple. On the nails there are three coats. Unfortunately to get the stunning colour like in the bottle, three coats are needed. White swirled tips are made with acrylic paint.

Picture above is taken in warm artificial light when the polish releases tiny pink sparkles. I like this look a lot. It’s not a glittery look, just a little bit of extra shine.

Toe Nail Design with NYC – In A New York Color Minute Quick Dry Nailpolish – East Village

Hello,
Today I have for you some toe nail design and swatches of a nail polish I used to make it.
So here are the toe nails

I used black nail polish under NYC – In A New York Color Minute Quick Dry Nailpolish – East Village.

On some of the nails I added shiny dazzlings and painted swirls with white acrylic paint.

Over the white paint I added tiny glitter, but unfortunately I cannot see it on the photos.

And now the swatches of the NYC – In A New York Color Minute Quick Dry Nailpolish – East Village.
In the bottle it has amazing colour, but when I first time painted my nails with it I was totally dissapointed. To get the colour similar to the one you see in the bottle you need to apply 3 or 4 coats. It is also difficult to get even coverage because of the thick formula. But if you paint it over the black base you get something amazing! Only one coat of East Village gives the iridescent effect like on the peacock feathers. Depending on the angle of view colour is changing from blue to beautiful glowing green.

1 – one coat of East Village over the black base
2 – two coats of East Village over the black base.
3 – three coats of East Village without colour base.

NYC – In A New York City Color Minute Quick Dry Nail Polish – Water Street Blue

Today I have some more swatches of NYCIn A New York City Color Minute Quick Dry Nail Polish for you . It’s Water Street Blue  (296).

When I saw this nail polish I couldn’t resist buying it. The colour is stunning! It’s really BLUE.

Before I was wearing colour Times Square (swatches here) – from the same line of NYC nail polishes and I must say, that this one is a little bit thicker and you must be more careful when painting to get perfectly even coverage.
On the pictures I am wearing two coats of Water Street Blue.

What I really like with this nail polish is the brush. It is very comfortable to use.

This polish dry fast and stay long on the nails.

I guess there will be more colours from this collection in my stash.

NYC – In A New York Color Minute Quick Dry Nail Polish – Times Square

Hello,

Today I have some swatches for you, from NYC (New York Color) – In A New York Color Minute Quick Dry Nail Polish (wow that was long name), number 224 – Times Square.

I must say that it’s a really pretty red colour. Good for summer.
On the photos I am wearing two coats of this nail polish without any top coat.

It is supposed to be Quick Drying and Quick Applicable nail polish and indeed it is. One layer dries very fast, second just as any good nail polish. Formula and the brush are very good, I didn’t notice any problems with the application. I have been wearing it the whole day and the polish on nails looks just fine.

I think it’s a good nail polish in an affordable price.
